The seminal ZZ Top albums "Tres Hombres" and "Fandango!" will be reissued in expanded editions Feb. 28 via Warner Bros. Each feature three previously unreleased live versions of songs from their respective studio albums.
Originally released in 1973, "Tres Hombres" was ZZ Top's third studio album and its first to hit the top 10 (it peaked at No. 8). It spawned the immortal single "La Grange," a No. 41 Billboard pop hit, as well as the bluesy staple "Jesus Just Left Chicago." The new version is rounded out with live versions of both of those songs plus "Waitin' for the Bus."
Two years later, the trio returned with the half-live, half-studio release "Fandango!," which reached No. 10 on The Billboard 200. The studio side sports the top 20 pop hit "Tush" plus "Heard It on the X" and "Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings," while the live selections are highlighted by a medley of originals and Willie Dixon's "Mellow Down Easy."
"Fandango!" is expanded here with rare live takes of "Heard It on the X," "Jailhouse Rock" and "Tush."
